US privacy groups fire facebook over privacy changes
In US there are calls on facebook to give up plans of user votes on policy changes. Till the present time, facebook users could vote on alterations proposed, and when 7.000 comments received, and a percentage of 30% vote against, the change is cancelled. Last week, facebook declared that it has the intention of getting rid of user voting system, arguing that 7.000 comments become very easy to get with the site’s fame. The argument isn’t accepted by the Center for Digital Democracy (CDD) and the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), and they wrote to Mark Zuckerburg, Facebook CEO, and they say that the alterations raise privacy risks and may be illegal.
