Dropbox acquired Mailbox startup
Dropbox, the file hosting service, has bought Mailbox, the famous email app that delivers Gmail messages to iPhone or iPod Touch In a post by Mailbox, it’s said that they aim to developing apps for more devices, but they need staff to do that, and it’s a company like Dropbox that would offer the needed help. “The product needs to grow fast, and we believe that joining Dropbox is the best way to make that happen. Plus, imagine what cool things you could do if your Mailbox was connected to your Dropbox…” Mailbox post said. Rumors talk about $100 million in cash and stock paid by Dropbox to acquire the startup.
