A Visit from the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan

 A Visit from the Goon Squad is a book which based on the world about rock-and-roll. It describes the interplay of time and music, dramatic life, and the story had no exactly beginning and ending. In the world of the author writing, we crossed someone’s path because of the destiny. The book included thirteen chapters and thirteen characters. In addition, same characters pop up in different parts of the story, and they closely connected and inseparable. Although some of these characters only have short connections, but the ripples already can change each other’s life. The writer used different styles of writing and intonations to compose the story. In chapter twelve, she even used PowerPoint to present which was pretty unique style. We believed that the book was nothing short of the most exciting and surprising work.
